The real truth about resistance
Feb 08, 2024
I've been discussing resistance lately with friends and clients, so I wanted to share some key points here.
Resistance doesn't always result in self-sabotage.
Sometimes, it's the typical shift of doing something new. Sometimes, it's because we are burnt out trying to do another thing. Sometimes, it's because whatever we are trying to do isn't truly aligned with what we need or want right now.
Resistance shows up with change, when we're burnt out, and when our intuition is trying to tell us something isn't right.
Only when we build a relationship with resistance will we be able to move through it.
When we build a relationship with curiosity with our resistance, it's no longer the enemy. It becomes a part of learning ourselves and growth. And it becomes a part we learn to nurture and take care of. It becomes a part that no longer stands in our way of living a life that feels good to us.
Self-trust and moving through resistance are ways I help guide people I work with so they can move through their roadblocks.
Once awareness opens up, it's game on!
It's always possible to shift into a more aligned version of yourself to create connection and aliveness in your inner and outer world.
