Moving forward in grief by surrendering

after a loss grief griefjourney healing healingjourney surrender Aug 29, 2023

Part of surrendering is focusing less on the "how" and trusting that God will connect the dots for you. Our role is to show up as willing participants and let the rest unfold. Trying to micromanage every step of the way leads to burnout, overthinking, overwhelm, stress, and often loneliness.

As you heal and do the inner work, you start to trust again, opening you up to miracles.

As a result, you embody compassion for yourself, and it carries on to others. Your container to hold space widens, and the people around you feel heard and gotten.

As we become compassionate listeners who hold space versus advice givers, those around us start to feel safe to express what needs revealing.

It was helpful after my late Husband's unspeakable death to talk about what was running through my head with those who could hold space for me and love me through it. Talking about and feeling it as I can has been vital for my healing journey.

Keeping it all bottled up with no place to go is harmful to our mental well-being.

Grief is something we should move through. When we become stuck, it can turn into despair.

I honor Jacques, my late Husband, by moving forward in love. The hurt will likely always be there to some degree, yet I'm less likely to get trapped in despair by moving forward.

Life now has something different to offer me, and I can explore what that is. As I live in gratitude, doors open up for me.

Back to surrender...

Trust is a form of love knowing that you and I are worthy enough for life, God, to carry us through the darkest of days.

Not only will you be carried, another level of strength and confidence will emerge.

Remember, on the other side of dark days is light.

And the light (love) is more powerful than any other force in the universe.

Take a deep breath and know you are carried and loved..

Hi, I’m Francine, a heart-centered coach, speaker and empowered empath.

I help sensitive-driven achievers break free from overthinking, and emotional overwhelm to find the confidence to lead effectively.

Your ability to feel deeply (your sensitivity) combined with your strong drive to achieve, makes you a rockstar in the field of your profession.

However, it also makes you more receptive to stress, emotional overwhelm, and overthinking. All of this often holds you back from unlocking your full potential in your career and frequently disrupts your relationships.

Does that sound familiar? If it does, I hear you. I also walked in those shoes.

The good news is that you’re not alone. And more importantly, you don’t have to live this way. It’s possible to enjoy success without stress.

It’s entirely possible to channel your ambition in healthy ways and use your sensitivity as the superpower it is.

Let me show you how.

Let's work together
