10 Minutes That Will Benefit You

Jul 22, 2021

I started my active mediation practice in 2015, about six years ago. I was facing a time of uncertainty at its highest. I stepped out of a corporate career working for a company for almost 20 years and became an entrepreneur for the first time. Something I dreamed about since I was in my early 20's.

Different ballgame!

And a different mindset.

Years of making things happen and seeing results felt embedded in me. So I thought - shoots, I'll do the same thing with my coaching business!

Piece of cake!

Ugh nope.

Although I was a leader for most of my career, I didn't consider the years of being an employee would throw up a few kinks. I soon had to unlearn many beliefs that I took on that weren't serving me to be the badass entrepreneur I knew was deep inside.

First, I had to settle my mind that primarily operated from the left brain for many years. It serves a purpose but was getting in my way big time.

I needed to learn how to pull from both sides again. Not that I ever lost my creative side. It just wasn't being used as actively.

It's where mediation came in and helped settle down my active brain that worked in a hot problem-solving environment for years to stillness and flow.

I started to become less anxious and more confident in producing results in a calm state.

My sleepless night ended. I started to sleep like a baby and looked at life through a new lens of mindfulness.

The stillness created space that helped with being less reactive towards burning fires and more intentional with my approach.

When things didn't look so good in the eyes of my survival mind because I was venturing out on something new (it saw it as scary), I moved past doubts the mind flashed towards me and became less fearful.

There are so many benefits when you can still the mind.

It's easier than what most people think too.

Here are a couple of misconceptions about meditation.

People wrongly classify meditation as "woo-woo" because of its association with some religious practices. However, it's simply a way to find focus by breathing and to quiet the mind.

Meditation takes too much time.

All you need is 10 minutes and a quiet place.

Research shows that 10-minute sessions can improve focus and memory and that even ultra-short meditation breaks can train your brain to cope better with everyday life.

For me, mediation is a game-changer. And if you haven't tried it, you may want to consider giving it a shot!

Lot's of love going your way. I hope you receive it. xo

Hi, I’m Francine, a heart-centered coach, speaker and empowered empath.

I help sensitive-driven achievers break free from overthinking, and emotional overwhelm to find the confidence to lead effectively.

Your ability to feel deeply (your sensitivity) combined with your strong drive to achieve, makes you a rockstar in the field of your profession.

However, it also makes you more receptive to stress, emotional overwhelm, and overthinking. All of this often holds you back from unlocking your full potential in your career and frequently disrupts your relationships.

Does that sound familiar? If it does, I hear you. I also walked in those shoes.

The good news is that you’re not alone. And more importantly, you don’t have to live this way. It’s possible to enjoy success without stress.

It’s entirely possible to channel your ambition in healthy ways and use your sensitivity as the superpower it is.

Let me show you how.

Let's work together
